Let's talk (a bit) about me !

I’m going to tell you a little bit more about myself. Not because I just want to talk about myself, but because I think it’s important for you to know some details about the person you want to work with—even before you meet them! It’s important to get a sense of your future photographer’s personality so you can choose the right person.

And yes, because it’s not all just about the photos. It’s about technique, creativity, communication… But I can assure you that getting along well with your photographer can make a huge difference! Getting along because you have things in common, because you share the same values, because you’re close in age… It might seem like a small detail, but in the end, it can be what makes the difference between 2 photographers.

I’ve heard several scenarios: clients who love their wedding photos but were disappointed with their photographer—whether because of the photographer’s behavior or the lack of connection they felt. Or clients who got along great with their photographer but were disappointed with the photos. That’s why you need to be 100% sure before signing: these are photos you’ll have for the rest of your life—they might even be the only thing you have left from the wedding! And if you also have a connection with the person, you’ll remember the experience as well as the photos.

So, my name is Laurine, I’m 31 (born in ’94). I’m a Libra, and even though I don’t know much about astrology, I do tend to be very indecisive about a lot of things—just like a typical Libra, apparently. For starters, I have a hard time describing myself!

Half “Ch’ti”, half from Normandy, I’m now a bit more rooted in the cold and gray skies of Belgium, among the Flemish. In Ghent, to be precise. As they say, the sun is in our hearts, right? (denial)

I have a sense of humor that’s sometimes dark, sometimes crass; I’m pretty adventurous. I’m half introvert, half extrovert. I have multiple personalities, depending on the day, my mood, the moon, Mercury…

One thing is certain: I’m sincere, very—too—generous, open, and very sensitive. I don’t think I’m inherently kind, but I’m not a mean person either. I’m someone you can count on, and that shows in my work: you can count on me to give my all during your wedding—before, after, and beyond—to bring even more creativity, to give you energy, time, and a listening ear… I’m here for you, and you can count on me to capture the best of your wedding in photos (and why not the worst, after all, that’s part of the adventure too).

I’m a discreet photographer—yes, because I like to capture moments without anyone realizing it’s coming. I’m not the kind of photographer who goes around talking to everyone, making everyone pose, or interrupting conversations just to get a “better” photo or a better angle. I move around a lot, and sometimes I’ll find myself lying on the ground, on a chair, or on the roof of a van (as the photo shows). I won’t hesitate to go into a lake for a better angle, climb a ladder, or run from one spot to another to get the photos I want.

I’m sometimes shy, sometimes very comfortable. Sometimes chatty, sometimes quiet. Sometimes calm, sometimes excited. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious (I’m a balance, I told you). But above all, I’m human. A human photographer who understands you, and who is sensitive and empathetic.
Want to know EVEN MORE? Feel free to contact me and chat—I’ll always take the time to answer your questions. Does this resonate with you? Then chances are we’ll get along great, and that I’m the perfect photographer for you, and you’re the perfect couple for me: join my team!

I am a photographer in Hauts-de-France, Belgium, and anywhere in the world if you want me !
